Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kapti. By creating an account, you agree to them. Plain-language summary follows each section.

1. The service

Kapti provides screen capture, annotation, AI-assisted metadata, and share-link tooling. The free tier is provided as-is, with reasonable storage and retention limits. Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually and may be cancelled at any time from Settings → Billing.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password and session token secure. We will never ask for your password by email. If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact security@kapti.app.

3. Your content

You own everything you upload. Kapti does not claim any rights over your captures, annotations, or metadata. We will only access your content when (a) you explicitly share it with us for support, (b) required by law, or (c) necessary to enforce these terms (e.g. abuse reports).

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Kapti to host illegal content, malware, or material that infringes on others' rights. Don't use share links to phish, spam, or otherwise abuse the public-share endpoint. We reserve the right to suspend abusive accounts; we'll contact you first unless the abuse is causing active harm.

5. Billing & refunds

Paid plans are billed in advance (monthly or annually). Refunds are available within 14 days of a charge — just email billing@kapti.app. We do not pro-rate partial months for cancellations; your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.

6. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of Kapti after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept the new terms, you can cancel and export your data at any time.

7. Liability

Kapti is provided 'as is'. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
